Vehicle destroyed by fire north of Melfort

A vehicle was destroyed by fire in the R.M. of Star City last night.

Melfort Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a vehicle fire just before 8 p.m. on a grid road north of the city.

Upon arrival of emergency crews, it was discovered that the lone occupant of the vehicle was able to escape before fire took over the cab.

No injuries were reported in the blaze. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
