The Nipawin Fire Department responded to the Village of White Fox on Monday, March 18 for a vehicle burning on the side of the road.

Fire Chief Brian Starkell told northeastNOW the owner of the vehicle was stuck in a snow drift on the side of a road before the vehicle caught flames.

“He was trying to get out (of the snow drift) and the vehicle caught on fire,” Starkell said. “They called 9-1-1, and we were able to contain the fire just to the vehicle. There were trees and a homeowner that was close to the side of the road, but firefighters were able to knock it down fairly quickly and just contain it to the vehicle.”
