Woman killed in crash with semi near Wynyard

An SUV and semi collision at Wynyard has claimed the life of a 60-year-old woman.

Around 8:30 p.m. last night, the driver of the SUV turned onto Highway 16 from ninth street in the town when the collision with a wide load semi occurred.

The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene according to RCMP.

The semi was hauling a large empty tank and therefore did not result in any dangerous goods being spilled.
