Senior Soccer League hoping to get off the ground after hiatus
After a one-year hiatus, members of the Battlefords Senior Soccer Association hope to get the adult league back up and running.
In 2018, the league did not have enough interest and the long-running summer past-time was put on hold for a season. Much of this was attributed to the lack of people signing up, so this year, they have a different plan of attack.
Members scheduled in-house registration for senior soccer on April 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Soccer Hut, just beside the Civic Centre. Online registration is also available. Every player needs to register individually, to pay a $40 membership fee. Team fees need to be paid in full by May 15, and that will run a team of up to 22 for $1,400, which works out to around $63.64 per player.
