Urban Treaty Day takes over the Battlefords

A day to celebrate tradition is how attendees described Urban Treaty Day in the Battlefords.

The event offers an opportunity to those living in the area to come together, while allowing those who live far from their First Nation to receive their treaty annuity payments.

The day was filled with powwow and drumming competitions alongside free soup and bannock, vendors and various activities.
