The Carlton Trail College Board of Directors has welcomed three new members after a pair departed.

Denis Bergerman and Luz Marina Dominguez are no longer on the board, but filling their shoes are Gordon Lees, Sandy Flory, and Shaun Haskey.

“The individuals that are typically selected are regional leaders within our area,” said Carlton Trails Manager of Development and Communications, Jennifer Brooks. “They are recommended to, and are appointed by the Executive Council of the Government of Saskatchewan.”

Lees currently resides in Humboldt and has over 29 years of management experience and community involvement.

Flory has worked and a Councillor in the R.M. of Wolverine and brings rural issues knowledge as well as governance procedures.

Living near Wadena, Haskey has lots of knowledge in agricultural business and community involvement.

Brooks said they are happy with the board as it stands.

“We are currently sitting at a Board of Directors of seven members,” she said. “Which provides a nice regional flavour so far as a number of our urban and rural communities are able to have their insights brought to the table for the benefit of our organization.”

Filling out the board is Glenn Hepp, Adrienne Jackson, Evan Doepker, and Sommer MacLeod. Brooks added that they are looking forward to the board being a part of the college continuing to grow. She said the board is looking to renew its business planning and reporting to their Ministry and other community partners over the next year.
