Loon Lake RCMP seek two suspects, charge one after intercepting stolen vehicle

One female is facing charges and two male suspects are wanted after RCMP in Loon Lake intercepted a stolen vehicle.

On Aug. 28, officers stopped the vehicle travelling through the area that contained a significant amount of firearms and stolen property.

The investigation, led by Cst. Heather Healey, resulted in a 29-year-old female from La Loche charged with 11 offences. They include weapons trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon, among others.

The female was remanded into custody and police are working to return the stolen property to the owners.

Officers are asking for the public’s help in locating Danny Weeseekase, 33, from Loon Lake. He is wanted for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, weapons trafficking, trafficking crystal meth and trafficking property obtained by crime.

Billy Cardinal, 24, from Buffalo Narrows is wanted for obstructing a police officer.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cardinal and Weeseekase is asked to contact police.
