A night of fright is in store at the Haunted Farmyard outside of Melfort.

The new to the area event will have have three tours over six nights beginning this evening.

A shuttle bus will bring guests to the farmyard from Melfort for each tour with the first shuttle to leave from the Tipsy Cow in the mall at 6:45 p.m.

Fun Matters Melfort owner Tammy Miller said the response has been great leading up to the debut night.

“We hung posters all around the area including Tisdale, St. Brieux, Naicam, Gronlid, Carrot River, those kind of places,” Miller said. “We have heard from all over the area and even have tickets booked from someone in White Fox.”

Tickets are available in advance on her Facebook page or when you arrive at the mall for the shuttle for $15 each. The tours take place on October 17, 18, 19, as well as 24, 25, 26. Group bookings are also available for the tours.

The shuttles will run about every 45 minutes with each shuttle being able to accomodate 40 people.

Miller previously had her business, Fun Matters Moose Jaw, which is an entertainment venture that does specialty events throughout the year.

“I have done haunted houses now for about the past 10 years and so after doing research of the area and what’s going on. I thought why not,” Miller said.

The walk-through tour is located in the resource area. The yard will come to life with many spooky different surprises and is recommended for 12 years of age and older.
