Four people are facing several charges after officers tracked down a vehicle that fled after being pulled over for driving slow and all over the road.

Big River RCMP said officers were driving back to the detachment area on Oct. 19 when they noticed the red Chevrolet Monte Carlo driving erratically. They attempted to stop the vehicle but it sped off and the officers did not give chase.

Police observed marks on the road a short distance down the road “consistent with a vehicle turning at high rate of speed.”

These marks led officers down a dirt road and to the car, where four people were still inside.

One person fled on foot but was arrested a short time later by the North Battleford Police Dog Service.

Police seized a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun with 20-gauge ammunition, a .308 calibre ammunition, one machete, multiple knives and masks, a baton, zip ties, four cell phones, and $2,895.00 cash, among other items.

Henry Ratt, Jerry Stewrt Netmaker, Larry Durocher, and Kelsey Lee Lachance are facing multiple charges for possession of firearms, failure to comply and dangerous driving.

All were scheduled to make an appearance in Provincial Court in Prince Albert on Oct. 29.

Police are still on the lookout for the final occupant of the vehicle.
