Local dojo brings home medals from Regina

The Kuro Tora Dojo brought home quite a few medals at the first ever Candy Cane Classic Open Martial Arts Tournament in Regina on Saturday.

The competition was open to all styles of martial arts, including karate, kung fu, taekwondo and others. Here’s how the Prince Albert athletes did.

Luches Shek – Yellow Belt, 1st weapon sparring

Reiner Ducor – Green Belt, 4th weapon sparring , 4th point sparring

Jacob Roberts – Red Belt, 3rd weapon sparring , 2nd Point sparring

Josh Gamelin-Shillingford – Brown Belt, 2nd weapon sparring, 3rd point sparring

Matthias Manicke – Black Belt, 1st weapon sparring, 3rd point Sparring , 2nd weapon forms , 3rd Kata
