Basketball season has tipped off for Prince Albert’s high schools.
This past weekend Carlton Comprehensive High School played host to a senior boys’ tournament featuring 12 teams from across the province. The host Crusaders finished the tournament in third place, which they clinched with an 86-64 win over their local rivals, the Ecole St. Mary Marauders.
Meanwhile both the city’s senior girls’ teams were in action on the road. The Carlton Crusaders senior girls team finished fourth in Saskatoon at the 16 team BOWLT Classic. While the St. Mary Marauders travelled to Weyburn where they finished with a 2-1 record in an exhibition tournament.
