Donation box stolen in Humboldt

RCMP in Humboldt are investigating the theft of a donation box that was meant for WE Day in Canada.

The incident happened at a business in the 700 block of Main St. in Humboldt on Sunday, Dec. 8, at about 6:30 p.m.

Security video showed a woman tucking the donation box under her shirt before she left the store.

The woman is about 5’7″, 160 to 190 lbs, with black shoulder length hair tied in a ponytail and thin eyebrows. She was wearing a red Toronto Raptors hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect was accompanied by a youth wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and camouflage t-shirt, however police do not believe the youth had direct involvement in the theft.

The donation box was nearly full when it was taken, and employees said they usually get between $60 and $100 when emptying the boxes.
