Police searching for two people for suspected fraud

The Prince Albert Police Service are searching for a man and a woman, following a potential fraud incident on Jan. 4.

According to a media release, at the 1100 Block of Third Ave. W. a local man reported to police he lost his cellphone and debit card. An hour after losing the items various purchases were made using the tap feature on the debit card.

The police are requesting public assistance in identifying the two individuals displayed in the surveillance photos.

According to the Prince Albert Police Service crime statistics, P.A. saw a 21.94 per cent increase in fraud cases from 2018 to 2019.
