Precautionary drinking water advisory issued for rural water utility customers

Customers of the Prince Albert Rural Water Utility system north of the river are being advised to boil their water.

The precautionary drinking water advisory is being issued by the Water Security Agency as the City of Prince Albert performs repairs on a water main feeding the rural water utilities water pump house.

The Water Security Agency recommends those boiling drinking water to do so for one minute at a rolling boil. The agency recommends these steps be taken for any water that may be ingested or used to wash dishes. The public is being encouraged not to drink from sources like water fountains.

While the water is safe most people to bathe in, it is being recommended infants and younger children be sponged bathed.
