Stars road to a repeat set as playoff picture solidifies

Twelve teams, six months and nearly 700 games combined, and the playoff scene is set.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) officially wrapped up their regular season Tuesday night, as the Humboldt Broncos topped the Melville Millionaires 3-1 in Humboldt.

With the victory, the Broncos (28-21-9) leapfrog Nipawin (30-24-4) by a single point for seventh place overall, as the Hawks will now finish eighth.

The Battlefords North Stars (#1) will play the Nipawin Hawks (#8)

The North Stars enter the postseason 6-4 over their last 10 games, while Nipawin are 3-6-1.
