Stories Are in Our Bones
The National Film Board of Canada is happy to announce that director Janine Windolph‘s new film, Stories Are In Our Bones, will be available for free streaming, starting Int’l Women’s Day – Sunday 8 March, 2020.
In this layered short film, filmmaker Janine Windolph and her mother, a residential school survivor, take Janine’s city-raised sons fishing in northern Saskatchewan near La Ronge—a healing process that offers teachings about themselves, their culture and their history.
The film will also celebrate its public Canadian premiere on March 12 at the event Saskatchewan Women Filmmakers, Remembering the Past Looking to the Future.
This screening of eight short films produced by women of Saskatchewan will be held at the MacKenzie Art Gallery’s Shumiatcher Theatre, Thursday March 12th at 7:00 PM in Regina.
