Secret Servant Agents

Students & Staff from Notre Dame School Spread Kindness

Students and staff from Notre Dame School have been spreading kindness. Physical distancing and supplemental learning have not slowed them down!

The Secret Servant Agent project was born of an idea from teachers Theresa Eppich, Ruthann Kohls, and Tammy Loeppky who were looking for ways to engage the school community in living out the virtues of the Catholic faith.

Secret Servant agents can be students, staff, or parents from the school. During the school year random acts of kindness included shoveling sidewalks, donating food, visiting the homeless and those in care, collecting donations for various causes, and focusing on specific virtues at certain times during the school year.

Since classes were suspended, the project has continued with more involvement from parents to spread cheer throughout the community.

Students are challenged via daily announcements broadcast on both the school Instagram and Facebook pages to complete a mission and then send a snapshot of it to their teachers.

During the first week of physical distancing, families joined with others in the community to decorate their windows with hearts and positive messages.

In the week leading up to Easter, students designed a cross for their home and did random acts of kindness in their household to help their family members.

Notre Dame School plans to continue the project in the coming weeks.
