Two people face charges following a series of break and enters in Humboldt and other areas.

Saskatoon RCMP Provincial General Investigation Section (GIS) launched a joint investigation including several RCMP detachments, after police received reports of a number of break and enters, theft, and property offences across central Saskatchewan.

These incidents took place between Feb. 4 and April 26.

Surveillance video and other evidence revealed an unknown male and a white Ford F-150 truck was present at a number of crime scenes.

Officers were able to determine the owner of the vehicle, and the man in the surveillance video, as 37-year-old Cody Kemick.

Saskatoon Provincial GIS and officers from several detachments, including Humboldt, executed a search warrant at Kemick’s house in Saskatoon May 2. Kemick and another occupant were arrested without incident.

Approximately $35,000 worth of stolen property was seized from the home, including tools, computers, electronic devices, ammunition, cheques, hair salon products, lottery tickets, and clothing. RCMP believe the items are from a series of break and enters in Humboldt, Saskatoon, Lucky Lake, Dinsmore, Rosetown, Kerrobert, Aberdeen, Milden, and Conquest.

Kemick faces three counts of break and enter, 10 counts of possession of stolen property, one count of theft, and one count of mischief.

40-year-old Chantal Dubois, also of Saskatoon, has been charged with one count of break and enter, and seven counts of possession of stolen property.

Both have been remanded for court in Saskatoon on Wednesday, May 6. The investigation is ongoing.
