Local dealership donates face shields to paramedics
Lakeland Ford in Prince Albert has donated 200 face shields to Parkland Ambulance paramedics as part of a national initiative by Ford Canada.
Dealers around the country identified organizations they thought could do with the help.
“We’ve partnered with the ambulance people in the past and they had a definite need so it worked out well,” dealer principal Scott Newsom told paNOW. “Hopefully we can fill that need and at the same time make sure we’re protecting our first responders, which is important to us.”
Like all other businesses, Newsom said the local Ford dealership has had to adapt to the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic. While people can still come to the showroom floor many would prefer not to at this time, so that means they’ve been doing pick-up and drop-off for customers, in-home sales deliveries, and remote test drives.
