A number of power outages are planned for the area over the next two days.

Rural customers east of the remote village of Lac Vert and surrounding communities will be without service on Wednesday, May 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

SaskPower is working to improve the power system and will shut off the power in order to perform the work safely over the course of one hour in that area.

On Thursday, May 14, the Crown corporation will be working in on the power system in the city of Humboldt. Even numbered residents on the 800 to 900 block of 17th Street, and the 600 to 900 block of 16th Street, zero to 100 block of Canada Place, and odd numbers on the 1300 to 1700 block of Eighth Avenue will be without service for four hours. The power outage will run from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Also, on Thursday, some customers in the town of Porcupine Plain will be without power for six hours.

Power will be shut off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the 100 block of Third Avenue East, 200 block of Oak Street, and the 200 to 500 block of Swaan Street.

All of the work to the power systems in the area is weather permitting.
