P.A. RCMP called to Muskoday First Nation after shots fired

May 22, 2020 | 3:52 PM

Prince Albert RCMP took one person into custody after being called out to Muskoday First Nation Friday.

Sgt. Brian Kelly told paNOW officers were called to the area this afternoon after gunshots were fired.

“We were able to track down the person responsible and place them in custody without further incident,” he said.

Kelly said there were no injuries to the officers or the suspect and approximately seven members responded to the call.

He said the investigation is ongoing and they’re working on what charges to be laid. He explained they don’t know why the shots were being fired.

“That’s not clear at this point,” he said.

Kelly said more information will be released once police have been able to investigate further.
