Shand Fair cancelled for 2020 due to COVID-19

A big event northeast of Carragana has been cancelled for 2020.
The Shand Fair was set to take place on Aug. 11 this year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will not happen.
In a letter, the fair’s secretary and treasurer Devra Dube-Ouellet said it was a difficult decision.
“We have carefully taken into consideration the impact COVID-19 has had on our sponsors, the families and individuals that have made our fair successful year after year,” the letter read. “Our county fair has had the privilege of continued community support and now, we wish to support our communities with our decision.”
