Miller Field in Melfort to receive funding for apron repair
Melfort’s airport will soon see some improvements, thanks to a provincial grant.
The government announced it will chip in $275,000 toward the full rehabilitation of the apron at Miller Field.
Melfort Mayor Rick Lang told northeastNOW he and other administrators were pleased to receive the funding through the Community Airport Partnership (CAP) program.
“It’s great that we received that funding because that was certainly necessary to proceed with the apron [repairs] out there,” Lang said. He added the work on the apron was dependent on that specific funding.
