Two men seriously injured in Humboldt area collision

Three people are in hospital after a two vehicle crash near Humboldt.

The head-on collision 11 kilometres west of the city yesterday afternoon closed part of Highway 5 for several hours.

RCMP said there were victims trapped in the wreckage after the crash, and three people managed to get out by the time officers arrived.

One person remained trapped in the other vehicle.

Humboldt EMS and the Humboldt Fire Department were on scene, and extracted the driver.

Four people were taken to hospital by Humboldt Ambulance and STARS Air Ambulance.

The two male drivers remain in hospital in Saskatoon with serious injuries, one man is in hospital in Saskatoon with injuries. and one youth has been released from hospital.

The investigation into the collision continues.
