A Preeceville man is expected in court today and faces multiple charges after an incident that began in Humboldt.

On Monday, June 8 at 6:45 p.m., RCMP were called to a complaint at a grocery store parking lot off Highway 5 W. in Humboldt.

As officers were conducting a traffic stop, a man fled the scene in his vehicle, hitting a parked car in the process.

The vehicle sped away and eventually left the city heading east.

The suspect was later found and arrested by Canora RCMP, and was remanded into custody to appear on a number of new charges.

31 year old Garnet Pinske of Preeceville faces charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight while being pursued by police, resisting arrest/obstruction, failure to stop after accident, and failure to comply with undertaking.

He will appear in court in Yorkton.

Canora RCMP also had a warrant out for Pinske’s arrest, and he will face those charges as well.

The parked car sustained minor damage, and no one was injured in the incident.

Humboldt RCMP are looking for any video of the incident in question, and if you have any video or information you can contact them at 306-682-2535 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
