Northern village of Pinehouse to see network outage overnight

Residents in the Northern Village of Pinehouse area will see a disruption to network services overnight.

On June 19, from midnight until approximately 6 a.m., SaskTel crews will be performing maintenance work on the network infrastructure serving the Northern Village of Pinehouse.

During that timeframe, SaskTel Internet, wireless, and landline phone services will be unavailable in and around Pinehouse.

Greg Jacobs, SaskTel spokesperson said network maintenance crew will be working on network maintenance.

“There’s a piece of equipment in the network that has reached its end of life so were replacing that piece,” Jacobs said. “When you take the piece of equipment out of the network and splice in that new piece, that’s what creates the outage.”
