Longest Day of Golf to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters
A day of golf to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) in Humboldt will look a little different this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual Diva for a Day golf tournament was postponed to 2021 but a teacher in the Horizon School Division is lending a hand to the group.
Avid golfer Paul Raycroft was approached by General Manager of the Humboldt Golf Club (HGC), Corey Schweitzer about bringing his ‘longest day of golf’ event to Humboldt.
“Obviously I love golf, it has been a a big part of my life for the last 20 years or so,” Raycroft said. “It’s four guys that know each other well and are friends that get to spend the day together and play golf, selfishly speaking. But at the same time, the goal is to raise as much money as we can for Big Brothers Big Sisters.”
