Lake search for missing youth moves into third day

The search in Makwa Lake for a missing youth is into a third day and despite the public’s offers to get involved the police have politely declined.

Loon Lake RCMP released a statement Friday afternoon saying they were still actively searching the lake.

“The public’s offers of assistance are appreciated but sufficient resources are in place,” the statement read.

RCMP continue to ask the public to stay away from the south east corner of the lake where divers and search crews are operating.
