Construction underway on South Ave in Melfort

Summertime means construction season is underway.

Several areas around Melfort are experiencing road closures due to work being done to roadways according to Brent Lutz with the city.

“Whether it be crews working on underground utilities or improvements to streets, we want to let everyone know about which areas to avoid,” Lutz said.

South Avenue from Broadway Avenue to Brunswick Street is closed for resurfacing of the roadway.

“Vehicles should use Saskatchewan Drive to avoid that area,” Lutz said. “It is only open for local traffic at this time.”
