From the total 1,072 reported cases, 218 are considered active. There have been 838 recoveries.

Fifty-one per cent of cases are females and 49 per cent are males.

To date 86,384 cases have been performed in the province. The province has made testing available to anyone who requests it. Yesterday, there was an all-time high of 1,468 COVID-19 tests performed in Saskatchewan.

Preventing the spread

Last week, the province reminded everyone in affected areas to take steps to reduce the spread of the virus. The steps are:

  1. Stay in your home community as much as possible.
  2. Self-isolate and get tested if you are feeling unwell at all.
  3. Self-isolate and get tested if you have been in contact with anyone who is known to have tested positive.
  4. Limit your interpersonal contacts and group gatherings as much as possible.

The provincial government is working with leaders in all communities with a significant number of cases. There are restrictions on travel in and out of affected communities, and includes travel between Hutterite communities.
