Visitor restrictions put in place for northeast

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has put some new visitor restrictions in place for the northeast region.

Due to higher COVID-19 case numbers in the northeast, visitation will be limited in hospitals in Melfort, Tisdale and Nipawin. Community long-term care homes will also have limited visitation. Those include Pineview Lodge in Nipawin, Parkland Place in Melfort, and New Market Place in Tisdale.

The SHA says only family members or support people will be permitted only for compassionate reasons. Compassionate reasons include end of life care, major surgeries, intensive and critical care, and more.

It’s also encouraged to practice virtual visiting during this time. Things like video and phone calls are what the SHA recommends.
