The cause of a weekend garage fire in Prince Albert’s west flat neighbourhood is under investigation.

Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning, the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to the 1200 block of 15th Street W.

The overhead power line, which services the residential home, also required repair by SaskPower. There were no injuries.

Barbecue fire

In a separate and unrelated incident, the fire department responded to the 1600 block of 15th Avenue West Saturday night for a barbecue on fire.

Upon arrival the owner stated the fire was out and the barbecue sustained minor damage. Crews confirmed the fire was extinguished before returning to the station.
