Province records 27 new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan
There are 27 new COVID-19 cases to report in the province, bringing Saskatchewan’s total to 1,511 cases.
The new cases are located in the South West (18), South Central (four), Saskatoon (three) and Regina (two) regions.
There are 10 people in hospital, with five receiving inpatient care. There are three in Saskatoon, one in the North Central region, and one in Regina. Five people are in intensive care with three in Saskatoon, one in the North Central region and one in the South West region.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority continues to work with Hutterite communities in the province. Many have seen a significant decline in active cases, and through the work of aggressive testing and contact tracing new cases have been discovered. The efforts remain ongoing. Of the 27 new cases, 22 are in communal living settings along with 95 of the 166 active cases.
