Humboldt RCMP investigating break and enter, thefts

Sep 8, 2020 | 4:47 PM

Humboldt RCMP are hoping the public has some information regarding two crimes.

First, between 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21 and 5:30 a.m. the next day, two suspects damaged and moved property around on College Street in Muenster. It’s believed the suspects entered the building through a roof cellar door.

RCMP hope people in the area have information or possibly exterior video of the area.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, RCMP are also investigating a theft of copper wire in the R.M. of LeRoy.

The date is unknown, but the wire was stolen from a power pole at a rural location in the R.M.

RCMP say this type of theft poses a safety concern. In a release, they say “since the meter is no longer grounded there is concern that the area around the power pole can become energized and electrocution is possible.”

There is also the threat of fire.

Anyone with information on either crime is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
