Man charged with attempted murder on Clearwater River Dene Nation

The La Loche RCMP have arrested 48-year-old Randy Darryl Fontaine and charged him with attempted murder.

According to a media release, on Saturday, Oct. 17 shortly after 10 p.m. the RCMP and EMS found a male with life threatening injuries on the Clearwater River Dene Nation.

He was taken to hospital in La Loche but was later transported to a hospital in Saskatoon, where he survived his injuries.

Fontaine appeared in La Loche Provincial Court on Monday. He was remanded and will make his next court appearance on Nov. 9.
