Two arrested in connection to armed robbery in Meadow Lake

The Meadow Lake RCMP arrested seven people after an investigation led to a search warrant at a home in Meadow Lake. Two of them were released without charges.

On Oct. 22, the police were dispatched to a home at 7:15 p.m. to respond to a reported robbery and assault in Meadow Lake. The police investigated and found the victim was assaulted and robbed inside the home by two people. The victim had personal items stolen and received serious injuries from the alleged assault. The police also identified the two suspects were armed with a gun.

The police received help from the RCMP Emergency Response Team to help find the suspects with a high risk search warrant. The next day on Oct. 23 around 9:30 p.m. the ERT and the Meadow Lake RCMP went to the residence at the 400 Block of 7 St. W.

The seven people arrested, two were released without charges. Two were arrested in relation to the assault, while the three others were arrested on charges not related to the assault.

The police seized controlled substances, ammunition and items which linked the suspects to the armed robbery.

Thirty-six-year-old Lana Aubichon from Meadow Lake, is facing four charges including robbery with a firearm, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement and uttering threats, in addition to her other outstanding warrants.

Rocky Fiddler, a 36-year-old male also from Meadow Lake, Sask. is facing charges of robbery with a firearm, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement, and uttering threats.

They were both remanded and made their first court appearance on Oct. 26.

The three others, a 38-year-old male, a 40-year-old male and a 34-year-old female were arrested on unrelated charges.
