RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigating sudden death in Southend

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit South is investigating a suspicious death in Southend.

That’s according to an RCMP news release, which states on the evening of Oct. 22, Southend RCMP found a man deceased in his residence. The injuries the man suffered, as well as the encounters the man had prior to his death, lead investigators to believe this could be a suspicious death.

An autopsy has been ordered by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service and performed on Oct. 26, 2020. Additional medial expert assessments have been requested.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit South is now investigating.

Police believe there is no risk to public safety at this time.
