Another COVID-19 case has been reported at a Prince Albert school.

The P.A. Catholic School Division issued a media release Thursday afternoon confirming that on Wednesday, officials from the Saskatchewan Health Authority identified a positive case in an individual at St. Francis School in Prince Albert.

Communication has been shared with the specific classroom/cohort, as well as the school community.

“Due to the safeguards we have in place, the risk of transmission within the classroom/cohort is low. Public Health has contacted those that have been deemed to be in close contact with the case and provided direction. To protect privacy, we are not able to share or discuss details,” the media release stated.

The statement reminded everyone entering schools to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Refer to the Daily Self-Assessment Checklist. Please complete this before attending school each day. If you/your child has any symptoms of COVID-19, please call HealthLine at 811 and remain at home.

The media release added, “we want to reassure families of St. Francis School that school will resume November 16, 2020 for in-person classes while maintaining the safety protocols that are in place. “
