North Stars weekend series with Bombers postponed till further notice

Nov 19, 2020 | 2:39 PM

The Battlefords North Stars’ game this weekend versus the Flin Flon Bombers, has been postponed until further notice.

In a post to social media, the North Stars announced the postponement is due to Flin Flon still awaiting government and health authority approval to resume play in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) this season.

Earlier this month, Hockey Manitoba announced the closure of all indoor sports and recreation facilities in the province, in an order that took affect Nov. 12.

Due to the mandate, the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) has already postponed all season play until the New Year.

If granted approval this weekend, the North Stars and Bombers’ back-to-backs will be moved to Tuesday (Nov. 24) and Wednesday (Nov. 25).
