4H Restrictions

Important COVID-19 Update for 4-H Clubs

Nov 26, 2020 | 9:41 AM

There are a number of new restrictions the Government of Saskatchewan will be implementing as of November 27.

We have compiled those most relevant to our membership, but remind everyone to please check the government website for a full description of them.
– All indoor public gathering in all venues are limited to 30 people
– No food or drink may be served during gatherings
– Indoor private gatherings remain at 5 people. If your immediate family is 5 or greater, you cannot have additional visitors
– All group sports, activities, games, competitions, practices are suspended (this includes equestrian). Athletes 18 years or younger may continue to practice in groups of 8 or fewer, provided they wear masks and maintain a 3 metre physical distance.
– Mask use will be required during all indoor fitness activities (including equestrian)

We know these restrictions may seem daunting, but don’t forget, the provincial office staff is here to support you!

Call your regional 4-H specialist to get help implementing these in your club, to help you come up with new ideas to keep your club active at a distance or to help you with moving meetings and activities virtual.

No matter your gathering size or location – stay safe and take precautions.

Practice physical distancing from those outside your household, wash your hands, and wear a mask.

We ask all 4-H’ers follow government restrictions and guidelines.

If you have concerns with the government guidelines, please contact their hotline at 1-855-559-5502.
