RCMP investigating pedestrian’s death

Members of the Big River RCMP detachment are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the Big River First Nation.
Police say they responded to the incident Sunday, Dec.6, shortly after 12:30 a.m.
When they arrived, officers located the 37-year-old man. Band security were present assisting with life-saving efforts and waiting for EMS attendants. Paramedics declared the man deceased at the scene.
The driver, 56, remained on scene. An RCMP traffic reconstructionist and a coroner both examined the scene.
