Dec 15, 2020 | 11:31 AM

A man from Watrous is facing impaired driving charges following a multi-vehicle collision in Saskatoon last night.

In a release from the Saskatoon Police Service, it was reported that the accident happened on Circle Drive and Taylor Street East, just before 8:30 p.m.

A northbound car on Circle Drive rear ended another car before colliding with a pick-up truck. The force of the collision caused both cars to roll onto their roofs and to end up in the south bound lanes.

A 17-year-old woman in the car that was rear-ended and the 45-year-old man driving the truck were not injured.

The 48-year-old man from Watrous was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The man has been released from custody to appear in court at a future date. More charges are pending according to police.

Traffic was closed in both directions and was being rerouted as members of the collision analyst unit investigated. Restrictions to traffic were lifted overnight.
