Twinkle Tour winners announced, virtual tour available

As previously reported here, the 2020 Twinkle Tour, hosted by 1050 CJNB and the CIty of North Battleford, has been held with a twist this year.

In an effort to limit possible gatherings, the guided tour through the community streets was put on hiatus for 2020. However, that hasn’t stopped the lights from shining.

A map of the route has still been posted on the city website, for residents interested in taking a self-guided tour; along with a virtual viewing of the experience, as seen below.

The winners for Best Decorated House and Best Decorated Block have also been awarded.

Best Decorated House– Ray Seib at 1022-113^th Street

As winner of Best Decorated House 2020, Seib will receive a plaque to display, declaring him the winner of the 2020 Twinkle Tour. He will also receive a private movie showing with admission for up to 35 people and a $50 gift certificate for movie theatre concession, for a prize value of $300.

Runners-up – Derrol LeBlanc at 2511 Blue Jay Crescent and Brandon Kotzer at 2062-96^th Street.

Both runners-up will receive a private movie showing with admission for up to 35 people and a $50 gift certificate to the theatre concession, for a prize value of $300.

Honourable mention – Jen Hrynewich at 1901-97^th Street and Hans Klassen at 1402-98^th Street.

Both honourable mention winners receive a $50 gift certificate to the Credit Union CUplex NationsWEST Field House/Battlefords CO-OP Aquatic Centre.

Best Decorated Block – Blue Jay Crescent

Judged to be the best decorated block in North Battleford, the block will have a street blade put up for the year, that will proclaim them as ‘2020 Twinkle Tour Best Block’.
