CJNB to air mass on Christmas Eve

Residents missing mass during the COVID-19 pandemic will have an opportunity to listen in on Christmas Eve.

1050 CJNB will broadcast the Midnight Mass for St. Paul’s Anglican Church in North Battleford. The service will begin at 11 p.m. and will be just over 50 minutes long. CJNB had previously aired a recorded mass service at Easter. Station Manager Mike Aimoe said it was important to make sure residents who wanted to attend mass, but couldn’t because of the COVID-19 pandemic, still had the opportunity to take part on Christmas Eve.

“There’s a few times a year where families have the opportunity to get together and go to mass and Christmas is tradition for many families,” Aimoe said.
