Police investigate shooting in East Hill neighbourhood

A man was transported to hospital Monday morning with a gunshot wound to his back, according to a news release from the Prince Albert Police Service.

The shooting incident around 6:30 a.m. in the 500 block of 22nd St. E. The victim was transported to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon in serious but stable condition.

Police continue to investigate.

Aggravated Assault

Prince Albert Police are also investigating an aggravated assault that took place at a residence in the 1000 Block of Branion Drive early Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the residence around 3:30 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. Two people, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital for further care and treatment.

One man was arrested at the scene on outstanding warrants.

Drug Investigation

Charges are pending against two women in connection with a drug bust in the city Tuesday.

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service Street Enforcement Team (SET) and Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) seized just over 22 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 Block of 28th St. E.
