Plane crash near Archerwill sends two men to hospital

Two men sustained serious injuries in a single plane crash near Archerwill on Saturday.

Just before 10 a.m., Greenwater RCMP responded to the crash and found two occupants trapped inside the plane.

A 58-year-old man and a 52-year-old man were extracted from the plane and were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

In a release, RCMP said weather conditions consisted of extreme fog and frost at the time of takeoff and criminality is not being considered at this time in the investigation.

The Archerwill Fire Department, Rose Valley and Naicam EMS, and Stars Air Ambulance attended the scene as well as RCMP.
