Arnold, Bouvier bail hearings set for February 8
The show cause hearings for John Arnold and Brendan Bouvier have been adjourned to Feb. 8.
Suspects Arnold and Bouvier were taken into custody following a series of shootings on the morning of Saturday, January 23. Around 2:30 a.m. that morning, officers responded to a report of gunshots at an apartment complex located at Second East Street in Meadow Lake. One man on scene was transported to hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound.
A second call to Meadow Lake RCMP at 5:30 a.m. reported multiple shots fired at a residence located at the 600th block of Third West Street. While on patrol, an officer spotted an abandoned Jeep with a smashed window on the east side of the city. One gun was found inside of the vehicle and seized by the officers.
Officials on the scene of the Third West Street residence pulled over a car in the area and noticed a loaded gun thrown out of the window into a nearby snowbank. A second firearm was recovered from the vehicle and both Arnold and Bouvier were arrested without incident.
