Meadow Lake RCMP arrest man for break-and-enter
A man has been arrested following the investigation of a break and enter at a Meadow Lake residence.
On February 1, Meadow Lake RCMP was dispatched to a residence located at Fourth St. W shortly before 3 p.m. after receiving reports of an active break-in. When they arrived on the scene, officers were informed the suspects had fled and were carrying firearms. With the assistance of Waterhen First Nation security, a suspect was identified, located and arrested.
Twenty-nine-year-old Trevor Alexander remains in custody and has been charged with ten offences including possession of a firearm while prohibited, careless use of a firearm and break and enter into a residence.
The RCMP does not believe this is a random incident. Alexander is expected to make his next court appearance on Feb. 16.
