The Town of Carrot River has announced some changes at the position of town administrator.

Kevin Trew has officially resigned from his position with the town, effective Feb. 26. Trew has been with the town since May of 2012.

Replacing Trew, effective Feb. 10, is Brennan Hall, who came to Carrot River in 2019 as the general manager of the Carrot River Outback Thunder Junior Hockey Club. Hall has been with the town since April of 2020 and in October, was hired as admin in training.

According to a media release from the town, Hall will continue to receive mentorship from Trew over the next year as he works to get his standard certificate. The release added Hall has the education requirements necessary to fulfill the job.

In his nine years with the Town of Carrot River, Trew was part of a number of major developments including the ‘Saskatchewan’s Outback’ brand, and the community square.

“Because of all circumstances involved, town council is expecting a very smooth transition,” said Mayor Dennis Letendre in a release. He also extended his gratitude to Kevin for his dedicated service.

Hall will also remain the general manager of the Outback Thunder.
