A complaint regarding a suspicious vehicle has led to the arrest of Meadow Lake woman.

On February 27, Meadow Lake RCMP received a complaint from a concerned resident mentioning the vehicle. Police were able to locate the vehicle and arrest the driver after she supplied the officers with a false name. After the arrest, police conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered 100 grams of crystal meth, 3 grams of cocaine and some marijuana.

Gailen Anderson, 28 from Meadow Lake, has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, obstructing a police officer and identity fraud. Anderson remains in custody and is expected to appear in court on March 4.

The Meadow Lake RCMP noted assistance from the public was a crucial factor leading up to the arrest and seizure of narcotics. The police are encouraging residents to continue contacting their local detachment if they see anything suspicious or unusual in their community.
